The SCIENTIA Hydrogen University was founded to implement the Indo-German Green Hydrogen Roadmap (adopted in 2024 by Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Prime Minister Narendra Modi).

Our aim is to systematically train managers, technical specialists and business decision-makers from Germany, India and other partner countries for the global development of the hydrogen economy.

Germany, the EU, the Middle East and India play a central role in building a climate-friendly energy future. The focus here is particularly on Europe and the EMEA (Middle East & Africa) and India regions, in close coordination with political players such as the EU Commission in Brussels.

In addition to the development of H₂ lighthouse projects along the entire value chain, the development of qualified specialists and managers is a key component of our commitment.

1. education for pupils – focus on climate-friendly energy and hydrogen in STEM subjects

The German Engineering Federation (VDMA) predicts that around 5 million specialists and managers will be needed for the climate-friendly energy value chain in Germany alone by 2050.

Today’s students are the specialized blue-collar workers, managers and leaders of tomorrow. That’s why we start early and impart knowledge in a modern, understandable and motivating way.

Our digital learning app SCIENTIA HYDROGEN SCHOOL was successfully tested with the support of the EU and the umbrella organization HYDROGEN EUROPE.

2. development of an elite of 0.1% of specialists and managers for the international hydrogen economy

Our goal is to train a new generation of around 5,000 alumni by 2040, who will act as future shapers of the international hydrogen markets.

Back in the 1990s, the first international Executive MBA program WHU-Kellogg was created as part of my doctorate at WHU Koblenz and Kellogg Business School – still one of the most prestigious programs in the world today.

Based on this experience and with innovative new impulses, the H₂-Campus “International Hydrogen Economy” is being created.
